Todd’s specialty is telecommunications and marine electronics. An impressive history of professional development demonstrates his dedication to remaining at the forefront of marine navigation and communication technological advances throughout his 3 decades in the field. His diverse project portfolio includes the electronics sector, entertainment & audio visual, IT networks, satellite & navigation communication on behalf of multinational companies, shipyards and individual owners. Throughout his commercial shipbuilding, NZ coast guard vessel and superyacht (38-120m) new build and refit experiences, he has honed his knowledge and application of ship’s classification standards (IMO, MCA, DNV and ABS). Complementing his extensive technical knowledge are his proficiencies in CAD design, quality control, health and safety, management and training.
Involved in projects from design through commissioning, Todd offers unique perspective in the superyacht industry. Having worked both the manufacturing/supply side and the consumer/contractor side, coupled with his outgoing personality, he fosters positive relationships between his team members, international suppliers and onsite contractors, as well as owners and shipyards. His role in mcivor&team focuses on navcom, electronics and automation in both design and management capacities.
