Jim Normey

Jim’s commercial and marine project management career has spanned 25 years in his native Canada and abroad. His marine expertise has been employed in applications from pleasure craft to charter and commercial class vessels including the full suite of hull and superstructure materials (steel, aluminum, GRP, carbon/kevlar and even traditional wood vessels)

Jim holds Journeyman Cabinetmaking status as well as an Industrial Education degree and numerous professional development courses in modern composite techniques specifically focused on yacht construction. Ocean adventure also represents a personal passion, and he continues to sail his custom catamaran logging many thousands of sea miles throughout Pacific Central America and the Caribbean. In addition to his Interior Management role with mcIvor&team, he is currently developing a line of alternative energy catamarans.
