Duje's degree in Naval Architecture from the University of Mechanical Engineering & Naval Architecture (Croatia) earned him a position with Split Shipyard in 2000. In the subsequent 11 years he worked exclusively within the shipbuilding industry in a variety of disciplines including quality control, new-build coordination, berth building management, owners' representative/consultant, and hull-outfitting inspection for a variety of vessels in shipyards spanning four different countries. In 2011, he joined a 120 meter superyacht refit team as the head of Quality Assurance.
Within any management team, Duje enjoys employing his leadership skills to mediate and resolve the conflicting demands of various engineering disciplines and facilitating project completion according to specifications, deadlines, and quality parameters. He employs his previous professional experiences to provide elegant solutions to technical issues. Duje brings his philosophy of respect for honesty, professionalism and good shipbuilding practice to mcIvor&team. He is motivated by the challenges of international projects and views them as precious experience for his future career.
